M822 Toyota/Mercedes-Benz AKL Communication Adapter
SKU: 20429831The M822 Toyota/Mercedes-Benz AKL Communication Adapter is used for finishing all key lost programming for Toyotas with 8A chip blade keys. This adapter is an upgraded version of the M821 Adapter, which allows you to finish and optimize the process for all key lost programming for Mercedes-Benz with various FBS3 modules.
The M822 needs to be used with advanced XTOOL key programming devices:
- When working with Toyotas, KC100/KC501 key programmer and KS-1 Toyota smart key emulator is also needed.
- When working with Mercedes, KC501 key programmer will be necessary.
Connection Methods
For Toyota 8A:
1. Connect KC100/KC501 to the device via USB and prepare a KS-1.
2. Connect the device (or VCI box) with the M822 Adapter using the main cable.
3. Connect the Toyota cable to the car using OBD port.
4. Take the battery clip from the car out and use the battery clip to connect the cable to the battery.
5. Take out the fuse from the fuse box then plug the cable into it.
6. Find the 12V DC male port from the Toyota cable and connect it to the 12V DC female port from the main cable.
Note: For different models, the connection method might not be same. Sometimes an extend cable is needed, and the fuse might be different.
For Mercedes-Benz:
1. Connect KC501 to the device via USB.
2. Connect Mercedes-Benz IR emulator onto KC501.
3. Connect the device (or VCI box) with the M822 Adapter using the main cable.
4. Connect 12V power supply onto the main cable. If you are using devices with VCI box, please make sure the VCI box is connected to the device via Bluetooth.
5. Connect the EIS/EZS module with the M822 Adapter using the Mercedes cable. Please check the device for connection details.
Note: Please check the pictures in the device when connecting M821 Adapter and EIS/EZS module via Mercedes cable. The Mercedes-Benz IR emulator should be plugged into the slot of the module when operating.
